Introducing: Grad Pod!

The Graduate School thrilled to announce the launch of our new podcast, Grad Pod!

The idea for this podcast was born after the Professional Development Office at the Graduate School launched the 2024 Current Graduate Student Survey. Once the results were analyzed, we wanted to take meaningful action based on the valuable feedback we received from students. That is how we came to Grad Pod!

Grad Pod is brought to you by the Graduate School as a means of connecting with graduate students, faculty, and staff. Our goal is to offer insights, resources, and stories from across our VCU community. Whether you're navigating the challenges of grad school, seeking advice on research or career development, or simply interested in hearing from those who support your academic success, you've come to the right place!

The podcast will feature staff and faculty from various departments and units at VCU that support student success where they will delve into the services that they provided to graduate students and answer questions about utilizing those resources. From professional development to the Electronic Thesis and Dissertation (ETD) process, we got you covered!

In one of our first episodes, we’ll hear from Library Services as we sit down with Kelsey Cheshire from VCU Libraries to discuss how their services can support research, literature reviews, and writing. Make sure to tune in to learn how to make the most of these valuable resources and gain practical tips to help you succeed in your graduate school journey!

Episodes will be released every other Tuesday, starting on February 11th.

Have a question for us or a topic you'd like to hear discussed on the podcast? Share your thoughts in our question box—we’d love to hear from you!

Stay tuned, and we’ll see you next time on Grad Pod!
